Kualoa Ranch Hosting 52nd State Farm Fair

Hawaii State Farm Fair is returning to Kualoa Ranch with 4-H livestock exhibits, food, fun and plenty to learn and enjoy.

The 52nd annual agricultural showcase runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 12 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 13 on the ranch grounds. It’s free to keiki and $5 for adults. (There’s a $1 discount for Foodland Maikai card holders.)

“We are working hard to bring back some of the old-time charm of the State Farm Fair, while creating lasting memories for a new generation,” stated Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation executive director Brian Miyamoto. New this year, for example, is a hands-on activity for children and a “Best Local Pie” contest sponsored by Napoleon’s Bakery — though recipe entries were due June 30 by email to farmfair@hfbf.org.

Also planned by HFBF and its presenting sponsor, the state Department of Agriculture, are entertainment, demonstrations, horse and hay rides, games, contests, Xtreme Fun Rides, food, produce and a country store and plant sale.
