‘Koolau Stars’ Has Music, Food, Fun
It’s time to spend another night “Under the Koolau Stars” with Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii’s Windward Clubhouse. The annual benefit will run from 6 to 9 p.m. June 6 at Mid-Pacific Country Club.
“We have a lot to celebrate at this year’s Under the Koolau Stars,” stated clubhouse director Maureen Purington. “The event comes on the heels of our ninth anniversary and the grand opening of our brand-new clubhouse building in Kailua.”
Lehua Kalima and Shawn Pimental will perform while guests enjoy drinks and dishes from Kalapawai Café, Buzz’s, Prima, Cactus, Crepes No Ka ‘Oi and the country club. Students from the clubhouse also will be on hand to thank attendees for their support.
All proceeds from the second annual gala support BGCH Windward Clubhouse’s art, music and water programs. The nonprofit organization serves some 500 Windward keiki each year from its location at Kailua Intermediate School. Tickets cost $125, and guests should RSVP by May 25.
