Koolau Clinic Returning With A Party
Good health is always something to celebrate, and Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has a compelling reason: The health system’s Koolau Clinic officially reopens this Thursday, and the public is invited to a party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday to show off the renovations.
The free Family Fun Day will feature activities, games, refreshments, prizes and other giveaways, a keiki tattoo booth, grip-strength exercises, a Thrive Zone physical test and KUMU-FM radio playing live.
Clinic tours will be available, and the clinic’s doctors will be on hand to answer questions.
Located at 45-602 Kamehameha Hwy., the Kaneohe clinic has undergone a $15-million renovation that adds two examination rooms and pharmacy windows – for a total of 6,000 square feet of new space. The site also is the company’s first LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold-certified building.
About 37,000 patients passed through the clinic last year, and more than 230,000 people in Hawaii are part of Kaiser’s health system, which also opened a new clinic in Pearlridge Center earlier this month.
