KEY Project Has Fall Fun For Intersession Week
Fall intersession starts next week at Windward public schools, and KEY Project is ready.
The community center formally known at Kualoa- Heeia Ecumenical Youth Project will offer separate “Kipuka” programs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 1-5 for children in grades K- 6 and grades 7-9 at 47- 200 Waihee Road in Kahaluu.
Registration began Sept. 24, and fee is $50 per child for “a journey of discovery.”
The groups focus on cultural identity by asking “Who am I?,” followed by answers via a variety of activities exploring ancestry, places and people the children connect with. An extended program until 5 p.m. also is available, but children must bring their own lunches.
