Kevin Vernier Wins A $150 Spree At Safeway

On a recent Monday, Kevin Vernier needed some groceries, so he took a trip to Safeway in Kailua. As he was leaving the store at 3:10 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Kevin with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Safeway shopping spree.

“I like shopping at Safeway because the store is clean and the people are nice,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, who works in the medical field. “Their customer service is good and the prices are pretty good too.”

Kevin moved to Hawaii in 1987 from the Midwest, and enjoys architecture, outdoor activities such as swimming, and taking care of friends and family. “I’m the one everyone comes to when they need something,” he explains.

He also likes to read MidWeek. “I like some of the stories and the advertisements,” he said. “Also, I like how the paper is set up. It’s easy to read and it’s free.”
