KCC’s Ho‘okipa March 12 Will Laud Young, Sprinkle
Kapiolani Community College’s respected culinary and hospitality programs should get a financial boost March 12 from Ho‘okipa Night, a gala set for 5:30 p.m. March 12 at Hawaii Convention Center’s Kalakaua Ballroom.
Guests can enjoy an evening of gourmet food and glamour in the center’s Kalakaua Ballroom, starting with a cocktail reception, then a multi-course dinner with wine pairings at 6:30 p.m. Guest celebrity chef is Rafael Lunetta of JiRaffe Restaurant in Santa Barbara, Calif., and KCC alumnus Yuhi Fujinaga, who now is executive chef of Sea Grille at New York’s Rockefeller Center.
KCC’s Culinary Arts, and Hospitality and Tourism programs will honor Pamela Young and Gary Sprinkle for their support during the evening. Attendees also can participate in live and silent auctions.
Tickets cost $250 for individual seats, or $3,000-$10,000 for a sponsored table. To buy them, visit uhfoundation.org/hookipa20 15 or call 734-9544. Evening aloha or business attire is requested. All funds go back to the featured programs at KCC.
