KCC To Brief Heald Students
UH community colleges, including Kapiolani, are rallying to assist Heald College students who were left high and dry after their for-profit school closed suddenly at the end of April.
KCC will conduct an open house for all majors at 10:30 a.m. June 6 in the campus cafeteria to provide information on credit transfer, comparable academic programs, loans, the admission process and more.
“The great thing about the University of Hawaii is that we have so many campuses that can be very close for the Heald students to access,” said KCC vice chancellor Brenda Ivelisse. “We are very excited to welcome them to get their questions answered for admissions purposes, financial aid and any other things they may have about how to make their transition seamless.”
