Kahala Dentists Want Candy
Still have some Halloween candy lying around at home? Waialae Dental Care can turn it into gold, so to speak.
Through Nov. 9, the clinic will accept all your child’s decay-inducing treats, give the child $1 for each pound of it (.500 kg) and donate $100 as a matching gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters. The candy itself will be given to members of the Hawaii National Guard as a “sweet treat.”
Cash for Candy, which began the morning after Halloween, is open to local keiki candy donors – no appointment needed – between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until Friday at Waialae Dental Care in the Kahala Office Building complex. For details, call Dr. Cedric Lewis, 732-4377.
