James Okahara Wins A $250 Spree At Foodland
James Okahara needed to restock his supply of bottled water, so on a recent Thursday he took a trip to Foodland in Pearl City. As he made his purchase at 1:20 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached James with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Foodland shopping spree.
“I like shopping at Foodland because the prices are cheap and their things are all fresh,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, who is retired from Matson Terminal. “Also, the people are friendly.”
James was born and raised in Ewa, and graduated from Waipahu High School in 1954. He has two grown children and enjoys bowling. He also likes to read MidWeek.
“I look at everything,” he said. “I like to read what’s going on in the community and the columnists, such as Bob Jones.”
