Imu Dec. 29 For Project Grad
Kailua High School’s Project Grad will have a benefit imu roast Dec. 29 on campus, and cooking space is on sale now to the public for $20 per aluminum tray of thawed, seasoned and well-wrapped meat.
Five dollars of the price will go to cover supplies, equipment, repair and maintenance of the imu.
Imu master Todd Hendricks advises customers to make three deep cuts in the meat, if bringing pork butt, roast or ham to cook. Also, please write your name on the foil with a permanent marker before the final wrap.
Trays should be delivered between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at the imu site near the school parking lot. Pick-up time is 8 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 30. Mail-in deadline is this Friday (Dec. 21), and weight limit is 25 pounds per tray, and only the first 250 orders can be accepted.
Mail checks, payable to Kailua High School Project Graduation, to 451 Ulumanu Drive, Kailua HI 96734. Write “Attention IMU” on the lower left corner of the envelope. Enclose phone number and a self-addressed stamped envelope for the imu tag and receipt.
