Who did you see the movie with?
I saw this movie with my family.
Overall what did you think?
Although I felt they missed a few key details, it was a good interpretation of the book.
It had drama, action, suspense, and even some comedy – all the qualities of a great movie.
Without giving away the ending, what was one of your favorite scenes?
My favorite scene is when Rue dies. I know it sounds horrible, but the reason why is because although it’s a bit rushed it was able to capture the humanistic emotion of Katniss and a district, something that the citizens of Panem seemed to lack.
On a scale of one to four stars, what would you rate this film?
It’s a good movie, but because of the shakiness of the camera I give it ★★★.
Who would you recommend this movie to?
I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy drama and action, along with a good story.
Did any of the actors stand out?
Although Woody Harrelson as the mentor, Haymitch, was my personal favorite, I felt that Jennifer Lawrence stole the spotlight. Even though it was the first film that I’ve seen her in, she did a great job with her interpretation of Katniss Everdeen.
Did you identify with any of the characters?
Umm, well not in this movie. All the characters’ situations are sort of extreme for my life.
Do you think you’d survive in the Hunger Games?
I would like to believe that I could, but I’m not a Boy Scout so surviving the outdoors for days might be tricky.
What’s your favorite movie snack?
Dibs or snowcaps … popcorn is overrated.
On a different note, what’s new with you?
I recently got a new skateboard if that counts. Well, it’s a surf-skateboard, pretty cool.
