Howard Miyake Wins A $150 Spree At Disco Mart
Howard Miyake wanted to look for a new bed and dresser, so on Wednesday, he and wife Patricia took a trip to Disco Mart in Waipahu. As they left the store at 11 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Howard with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Disco Mart shopping spree.
“I like shopping at Disco Mart because the service is terrific,” said this week’s Mystery
Shopper, who retired from Hawaiian Tel as a switchman and from Aloha Airlines security. “Also, they have a lot of things they do for free, like helping to move the bed in the room and putting the handles on the dresser. The quality is good, too, and the workers are good.”
Born on Maui and raised on Oahu, Howard graduated from Farrington High School in 1954. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and watching TV. He also likes to read MidWeek.
“I like to read (columns by) Ron Nagasawa and Mufi Hannemann,” he said, adding that he always sees the Mystery Shopper and never thought it would happen to him. “And I like to look at the pictures from golf tournaments and events.”
