Radiothon Gets $50K Boost
A record-breaking $273,322 was raised at the 10th annual Kapiolani Radiothon for Kids. Through a Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and KSSK 92.3FM partnership to support Hawaii’s keiki, the two-day fundraiser drew the most donations in Kapiolani Radiothon history. The big boost in the 2016 results came with a $50,000 donation from Wilson Homecare. Pictured are (from left): Karen Keawehawaii, Michael W. AT&T Supports Y’s College Camp
AT&T donated $35,000 to YMCA College Camp, a leadership and college experience program that encourages Hawaii high school juniors and seniors from underserved communities to graduate and pursue higher education. Students who attended the YMCA Nanakuli-Waianae College Camp session are pictured here with Atherton YMCA executive director Ananda Chou, and AT&T director of sales in Hawaii Shane Crowder, who served as a mentor at the College Camp Career Night Dinner program. The event is one of the highlights of the weeklong camp, where notable Hawaii business leaders have dinner with the students and engage in a round robin-style talk story format.
