Charity Walk Raises $2.6 Million
Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association, through its nonprofit arm Hawai‘i Hotel Industry Foundation, distributed funds to 135 O‘ahu-based nonprofit organizations during a check presentation at Roy’s Eating House 1849 in Waik°k°. The money was raised during the 40th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, which generated a record $2.6 million statewide to benefit local charities. Among the beneficiaries was Youth for Christ USA Inc., which works with troubled youth through programs o˛ ered at public high schools on O‘ahu. Finance Factors Donates $20,000
