Students Learn Dangers Of Texting, Driving
Three Farrington High School driver's education classes assembled to hear Mayor Caldwell, HFD Chief Manuel Neves, EMS director Mark Rigg and HPD Maj. Lester Hite speak about the dangers of texting while driving. Also on hand were officials from AT&T Hawaii, one of the four networks participating in this year's annual "It Can Wait" event. They helped students download the safety app that informs texters or callers that the person they are trying to reach is driving and can't return the call, or text, at that moment.
