Serving Up A Gift For Musicians
After honoring Henry Kapono with its 2023 Ho‘okahiko Award, Duke’s Waikīkī also made a $5,000 donation to the longtime entertainer’s foundation.
The funds will assist the Henry Kapono Foundation with various initiatives, including its Emergency Basic Essentials Relief Program, which provides aid to music industry professionals affected by the recent wildfires on Maui. Making A Difference One Plate At A Time
Finance Factors Family of Cos. raised $13,000 from its annual charity banquet to benefit Kupu, a nonprofit that provides hands-on training in conversation, sustainability and environmental education for young adults. More than 1,200 breakfast plates were prepared and purchased for $8 each at the charity event. Pictured are employees from both Finance Factors and Kupu. Volunteers Host Drive, Assemble Hygiene Kits For Youth
First Hawaiian Bank employees recently hosted a clothing and necessity drive at Ke‘elikolani Middle School, where bank employees, along with friends and family, volunteered their time to assemble 500-plus hygiene kits for students as part of the bank’s Community Care program.
