Junior League Supports Women Leadership

Liz Howard (left) has been awarded the Laura N. Dowsett Award from the Junior League of Honolulu. The accolade recognizes an individual who demonstrates the spirit of voluntarism and advocacy. Awardees are asked to select a community organization to receive a gift in their honor and Howard chose YWCA O‘ahu. Zippy’s Raises Funds For Nonprofit

Zippy’s selected HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support) as the recipient of its Mahalo May campaign. For a week in May, $2,000 in proceeds from the restaurant’s Kōkua Pac, as well as a special HUGS doughnut, were donated to HUGS.
