Recycling Program Raises $3,000
Retail Merchants of Hawaii and Reynolds Recycling presented a $3,000 check to Assets School for winning a Project Graduation Recycling Contest. Over six weeks, all participating high schools recycled about 53,000 containers, which included 700 pounds of aluminum, 450 pounds of plastic and 2,600 pounds of glass. Moanalua High won second place and $1,500 and Kaimuki High was the wild card winner of $1,000. Photo from Retail Merchants of Hawaii.
