Kahala Hotel Wins Green Award

The Kahala Hotel & Resort recently was presented with the 2015 Governor’s Green Business Award by the state of Hawaii in honor of its sustainability efforts. The Kahala has implemented environmentally friendly practices in its daily operations for more than 50 years. Pictured are (from left) DBEDT director Luis P. Hawaii Athletes In The Olympics

Three Hawaii athletes participated in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles: Chaunci Cummings, Ikaika Morita-Sunada and Isaiah Wong. Cummings is from Kapaa and represented Team USA in track and fi eld, Morita-Sunada is from Kaneohe and on the aquatics team, and Wong represented Kailua-Kona on the powerlifting team.
