Job Corps Works On Haiyan Relief
When students at Hawaii Job Corps saw the destruction after Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, they wanted to do something to help the people there. They decided to hold a white elephant sale for students to purchase Christmas gifts for their families before going on winter break. They raised $755.35 and donated it to American Red Cross, which is providing relief efforts in the Philippines.
