HMSA Employees Get Healthy
As part of an employee wellness program, HMSA employees were encouraged to use Healthways' Well-Being Connect tool to manage and maintain their well-being for the final quarter of the year. Employees who successfully used the online tool to record their diet, exercise and health-related activities collectively earned more than $8,300 to be donated to Lanakila Meals on Wheels, and Healthways kicked in the extra funds to make the donation a round $10,000. The check presentation was made by HMSA president and chief executive officer Michael A. Gold (left) and Healthways Hawaii vice president Scott Sivik (right) to Lanakila Meals on Wheels director Lyn Moku.
