President's Volunteer Award Winners
Margie Van Swearingen (right) and Marti Frensley have received the United States President's Volunteer Award for 5,000 hours of volunteer service in Hawaii. Both are members of the Assistance League of Hawaii. Van Swearingen currently serves on the ALH Board as treasurer and website administrator, and Frensley is the ALH corresponding secretary. Both women additionally volunteer hundreds of hours as members of various ALH program committees, including Operation School Bell and Operation Wildlife
