GIFT Foundation Donates $105,000 To Local Charities

The GIFT Foundation of Hawai‘i presented checks to Hoa ‘Aina O Mākaha, Assistance Dogs of Hawai‘i and Aloha Animal Sanctuary Feb. 3 at Waikīkī Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. Each year, GIFT (Giving Inspiration For Tomorrow) selects several local charities or programs to benefit from monies raised through its annual fundraising event. The nonprofit was founded in 2003 with a mission to encourage young adults to participate in philanthropic giving, and has since raised more than $3 million, served more than five dozen nonprofits and has more than 35 active volunteers. Applications for 2020 GIFT Foundation beneficiaries are being accepted now through March 31. For more information, visit gift.foundation.
