FHB Foundation Donates $200,000 To Queen’s Health
First Hawaiian Bank Foundation has donated $200,000 to The Queen’s Health Systems to support its Infectious Disease Program Unit at The Queen’s Medical Center’s Punchbowl campus. ‘Ōlelo Youth Xchange Winners
Schools from across the state were named winners in the 17th annual ‘Ōlelo Youth Xchange Student Video Competition earlier this year, but top prizes went to Moanalua High, Wai‘anae Intermediate and Maui High schools. More than 900 video submissions were created by elementary, middle and high school students who attend 71 public, charter and private schools statewide; and 54 award winners received high-definition Sony digital video cameras as prizes.
Wai‘anae Intermediate won the Junior Expert category with its video, Young Champion, by (right, top photo) Denise Cabrera, Izaiah Razon and Terrysa Uyeno; and Moanalua High took the Magic of Community Engagement Expert category with its Unlikely Friends video by (right photo) Khloe Ringor, Beryl Lee, Gabriel Kaina and Trey Terai.
