Gas Stations Get Pumped Up For Special Cause
Aloha Petroleum donated $15,640.93 to Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawai‘i to support the nonprofit’s mission of providing a “home away from home” for seriously ill children and their families. The funds were collected through the Giving Pump Campaign at select Shell stations across the state Aug. 1-Oct. 31. New Activity Center Benefits All Ages
Central Pacific Bank Foundation presented Soto Mission of ‘Aiea-Taiheiji with a $35,000 check for the construction of its new activity center. This grant is in addition to a $5,000 check received last year. The activity center, scheduled for construction in 2023, will be a two-story multipurpose building designed to provide space for extracurricular activities and programs, as well as an adult day care. Food Donation Nourishes Hawai‘i’s Communities
Saint Louis School alumnus Dwight Otani, owner of D. Otani Produce, showered Aloha Harvest with the largest donation the charitable organization has ever received — more than 26 tons of food was donated to feed O‘ahu families in need this holiday season.
