Community Leaders Light The Way

Pacific Buddhist Academy hosted its annual Lighting Our Way event to honor individuals who make Hawai‘i a better place. This year’s honorees are Mabel Hashisaka, founder of Kaua‘i Kookie; William Kaneko, partner at Dentons; Dr. Takashi Manago, 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Regimental Combat Team veteran; and Claude Onizuka and the Astronaut Ellison S. Funds Help Waikīkī Seniors In Need

A Real ‘Asset’ For Hawai‘i’s Hungry

Earlier this month, Assets School staff, faculty parents and trustees donated canned goods and nonperishable foods — for a total of 500 meals —  to Hawai‘i Foodbank.
