Teacher Of The Year Gets A KIA

Aloha KIA owner Bill van den Hurk presents a ceremonial key and use for a year of a new 2017 KIA Forte to Hawai‘i State Teacher of the Year Vanessa Ching during a ceremony at a Washington Place Oct. 27. Ching (pictured here with husband Joshua, son Luke and daughter Kalea) is an elementary and special education teacher, and holds multiple positions at ‘Ewa Makai Middle School, including student activities coordinator, yearbook advisor and green program coordinator.
