ASTA Donates To Visitor Aloha Society

CC Chung Named Teacher Of The Year

CC Chung, a sixth-grade teacher at Ka‘imiloa Elementary School, was presented the ceremonial key to a new Kia Niro LX to drive for a year as the 2020 Hawai‘i State Teacher of the Year. Pictured are (from left) superintendent Christina Kishimoto, Aloha Kia chief operating officer Russ Wong, Chung, Gov. David Ige and Dawn Amano-Ige. Wong presented the key on behalf of Aloha Kia owner Bill van den Hurk, donor of the use of the vehicle provided through his Aloha Kia dealerships. Chung also received $500 in fuel from Par Hawai‘i’s Hele stations.
