HRAEF Funds Student Scholarships
The Hawai‘i Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on bolstering workforce development beginning at the high school level, awarded $1,500 scholarships to three Hawai‘i high school students. The awardees, who were honored at a ceremony held at Sky Waikīkī, were (from left) Ashley Hendrickson and Kenneth Wong, both from Moanalua High School, and Gabrielle Colobong from Pearl City High School. FICOH Donates $73K To Heart Association
In a continuation of its multiyear commitment to supporting cardiovascular research, education and care, First Insurance Co. of Hawai‘i Ltd. donated $73,000 to the American Heart Association. The monetary gift includes $25,000 for the annual Hart of Hawai‘i Heart Ball, $30,000 for the virtual O‘ahu Heart Walk, $10,000 for the Leaders for Life program, and $8,000 in employee-matching gifts.
