Foundation Assists Local Families
Atlas Insurance Agency Foundation recently partnered with Parents And Children Together for its fall gala, this year titled “There’s No Place Like Home!,” during which it presented the nonprofit with a $10,000 donation. UH Students Succeed With Donation
Oak Foundation gifted $700,000 to the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa College of Education Center on Disability Studies to support students with learning differences. The monetary award funds the development of innovative online modules that help faculty and staff improve their interactions with students with learning differences, including Indigenous students such as Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, by reflecting on administrators’ current practices. A Home Run Of A Gift For Little League Champs
Central Pacific Bank Foundation presented a check for $10,000 to the Honolulu Little League World Series championship team at its main branch in downtown Honolulu. The foundation congratulated coaches and players, including one of its own CPB ‘ohana members, Kobe Hino (No. 4), who is the son of CPB vice president and director of accounting, Scott Hino. The CPB Foundation first donated $5,000 to the team before the tournament began to off set travel expenses and added another $5,000 to pay for a pitching machine and other equipment.
