Artwork Project Supports Reef Conservation
The Vanishing Murals Hawai‘i Ocean NFT art project donated $4,500 to Fish Pono – Save Our Reefs. The gift will help Fish Pono’s educational campaign, which encourages responsible fishing and enables more effective coral reef conservation. Sales of the NFT artworks launched in late October, and 20% of each purchase was donated to Fish Pono. Foundation Helps Honolulu School Expand Art Curriculum
Mid-Pacific Institute received a $25,000 grant from the Cades Foundation. The funds will expand the school’s guest artist program to all five arts disciplines: dance, theater, music, digital/visual arts and hula. Additionally, the grant will form mentorships and internships with on-island artists; create weekend workshops and master classes; enable gallery showcases and artist lectures; and engender professional development for teachers and staff.
