HiSAM First Friday
Hawaii State Art Museum conducted its third First Friday celebration earlier this year in the HiSAM second floor courtyard. Titled “A Star-Studded Evening of Jazz and Gospel,” the evening was presented by Hawaii Friends of Civil Rights’ Committee on the Advancement of African American Culture and the Arts. Headlining feature entertainment was Chris Vandercook, Al Harrington, Starr Kalahiki, Sherry Graham, Ginai, Chuck James Trio and poetry by Kathryn Takara.
