High-power Tech At Pali Momi
Pali Momi Medical Center recently welcomed a 320- slice computed tomography (CT) scanner to its Aiea facility, making it the first hospital in the state — and one of only 100 nationwide — to have the $1.96 million technology.
The device, which already has been installed and currently is in operation, is designed with superior scanning abilities and operates at a faster rate than comparable technologies. It can conduct multiple diagnostic tests at one time.
According to Dr. Gordon Ng, director of radiology for Pali Momi, “This new technology can produce superior images and definitive information for greater diagnostic confidence. With the convenience of quicker scan times and a lower radiation dose compared to other CT scanners, this state- of-the-art technology continues Pali Momi’s commitment to safe scanning.”
“We are proud to bring this technology to our medical center,” added Pali Momi CEO Jen Chaha- novich. “Pali Momi is committed to providing the high- est level of care for West Oahu residents.”
