Pacifikology Pops Up At HIFI Coop
A launch party for Pacifikology, a new retail pop-up shop for Pacific art and design and Hawaiian vintage fashion, takes place Dec. 12 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Hawaii Fashion Incubator (HIFI Coop) at Ward Warehouse.
The pop-up shop features fashion, accessories, art and original items for the home and the holidays. Available for purchase are designer favorites by Jeffrey Yoshida and Paula Rath, collectables from Radio Hula, jewelry from Strands by Momi, clothing from Pili Designs NZ, fragrances by Saffron James, video art by Laura Margulies, photography by Daphne Hargrove, sculptures by John Koga and much more. Holiday festivities at Ward Centers:
>> Ward Wish-tificates – As a special gift, shoppers who spend $100 or more at Ward Centers through Dec. 16 will receive a Ward Wish-tificate. Ward Wish-tificates are valued at $10 and can be redeemed at participating Ward Centers stores and restaurants.
>> Santa’s Beach House – Head to Santa’s Beach House in Ward Centre near Red Pineapple to take a fun holiday photo for a family Christmas card or a silly snapshot with friends. Santa’s Beach House is open now through Dec. 24 (from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from noon to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from noon to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday). Photo packages start at $18.
>> Holiday Entertainment – Enjoy special entertainment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 23. On Fridays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Ward Centre, Christmas carolers will sing popular holiday tunes, and Saturdays from 1 to 2 p.m. shoppers can enjoy Christmas concerts at Ward Warehouse amphitheater. To wrap up the weekend, each Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will showcase Christmas keiki hula at Ward Warehouse amphitheater.
>> Honolulu City Lights Trolley Tour – Take a swing through Honolulu’s sparkling City Lights display with Ward Centers’ Honolulu City Lights Trolley Tour. The tour departs each night through Dec. 30 (excluding Dec. 24 and 25) at Ward Warehouse near Pictures Plus. Ticket cost $6 per person (free for children ages 3 and under), with all proceeds benefiting the Hawaii Foodbank. Tickets can be purchased near Paina Cafe in Ward Warehouse from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
>> Senior Giving Trees – Get in the spirit of giving with Senior Giving Trees (at Ward Centre, Ward Warehouse and Nordstrom Rack) now through Dec. 14 during mall hours to benefit Catholic Charities Hawaii seniors.
