Building Your Home For Life
Graham Builders CEO Danny Graham founded the company in 1990 to guide homeowners through the process of designing, building and renovating homes that will last their lifetimes.
As a design+build firm, we have a staff of dedicated architectural designers and project coordinators who work diligently to create a family’s dream home. We also partner with the most skilled and experienced local sub-contractors and suppliers.
Graham Builders was among the first to recognize Hawaii’s unique culture of embracing ohana, which oftentimes results in multiple generations of families living together. Since then, we’ve designed and built many multi-generational homes in communities all across Oahu. With the aid of software like Cloud 9, drawings can be turned into visuals of how a home will turn out as it can be hard to picture a home from architectural drawings alone. This allows customers to have full faith in the project.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of Hawaii residents age 65 and older grew at a rate more than three times faster than the total state population from 2010 to 2011. Given these statistics, it is not surprising that multiple generations live together in the same house. With three certified aging-in-place specialists, we are committed to helping families who want to care for their elders at home make changes to provide for their mobility and safety.
Danny also believes that homeowners should understand the basics of the design+build process before starting a home-construction project. Based on this philosophy, we launched our “Building Your Home for Life” seminar in 1995 and have been offering it on a monthly basis ever since. Our ultimate goal is to help homeowners understand everything there is to know about getting started on a home construction project.
Given Hawaii’s unique culture and climate, we discuss topics that are important to local families such as multi-generation homes, universal and aging-in-place design, as well as sustainable building.
