Goodwill Stages Grand Opening At Kailua Store

It’s been four years since Goodwill had a physical location in Kailua, but that changes this Saturday with the grand opening of its new retail store and donation center at 105 Oneawa St.

Ceremonies will begin at 8:45 a.m., with a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9. Krater 96 will broadcasting on site, and bonuses for June 21 attendees include free reusable Goodwill bags for the first 50 shoppers, prize drawings and special discounts.

Goodwill’s hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sundays. Proceeds from its sales help fund job readiness and job-placement programs statewide.

The organization accepts gently used clothing and most household items. This is the eighth physical Goodwill retail location on Oahu. For donation guidelines and more information, visit higoodwill.org.
