Golf, Eat, Party With Class Of ’64
Castle High School’s Class of 1964 will mark its 50-year reunion with parties from Kaneohe to Las Vegas between Aug. 22 and Oct. 10, with reservations due right now.
Key events in Windward Oahu are a golf tournament at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 at Mid-Pacific Country Club $75), a spa day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 22 at a Haiku Plantations home ($20), a banquet from 5 to 11 p.m. Aug. 23 at Mid-Pac Country Club ($50), and a “soup kitchen” at 11 a.m. Aug. 24 at a Haiku Road home (BYOB).
The banquet, called “Moments to Remember,” also will feature a “big blow out” honoring retired-but-still-active drama teacher Ron Bright on his 80th birthday, according to alumna Patti Ramirez.
The Las Vegas trip via Vacations Hawaii includes a class night out Oct. 9 for the Michael Jackson Live show and buffet dinner at Rio Hotel & Casino Oct. 9 ($100), and a “Hana Hou Moments” buffet dinner and party from 5 p.m. Oct. 10 ($50) at the Fremont.
