Leeward Community College’s Office of Continuing Education & Workforce Development will offer a certified nurse’s aide training information session Friday and Feb. 19 at Waianae Health Academy, 86-008 Farrington Hwy.

The session is designed for those interested in the nursing field, as well as people who want to learn more about career opportunities.

From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., program coordinator Lehuanani Akau will share information about the CNA field and answer questions.

She will cover topics such as enrollment requirements and preparation, skills one needs to pass the Prometric exam, industry and employment outlook, career options after CNA training, and available resources to assist with funding and testing.

Light refreshments will be served, and attendees will receive a free gift.
