Get AARP Tax-Aide At Two Kailua Churches

Two Kailua churches will serve as AARP Foundation Tax-Aide sites beginning next week.

The foundation, in cooperation with Internal Revenue Service, trains volunteers to help low-to-moderate income taxpayers with their tax returns and possibly stretch their income through tax credits and deductions. Special attention will go to residents age 60 and older.

Church of the Nazarene at 536 Oneawa St. and St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church at 93 N. Kainalu Drive will be open from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates. For more information and details on other locations, call 545-6016. Both Kailua sites will be closed Feb. 16 for Presidents’ Day and Feb. 18 for Ash Wednesday.

• Church of the Nazarene: Mondays, Feb. 2, 9, 23; March 2, 9, 16, 23; April 6 and 13.

• St. Christopher’s: Wednesdays, Feb. 4, 11, 25; March 4, 11, 18, 25; April 1 and 8.
