Windward Readers Theatre will present The Cemetery Club at 7 p.m. March 4 and 6, and 2 p.m. March 9 in Pohai Nani auditorium, as read by Cecilia Fordham, Jo Pruden, Sylvia Hormann-Alper, Sandy Ritz, and Jim Tharp. The romantic comedy by Ivan Menchell also was made into a movie by Bill Duke in 1993.
Director Vanita Rae Smith calls it “a poignant tribute to the art of facing the challenges of growing older.”
Admission is free, and reservations are not necessary. This is the third of four Readers Theatre plays presented at the Kaneohe venue and sponsored by Hui o Pohai Nani. Donations are welcome.
