Four-mile Kaneohe Fun Walk Set Aug. 9

Deadline is July 26 to register for the 2014 Fun Walk sponsored by Ko’olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club and Pili Ohana to benefit club activities and scholarships.

The 4-mile walk begins at 8 a.m. Aug. 9, starting at the Atrium Building at 45-005 Kawa St. and looping twice around the Heeia business district. Participants should check in at 7 a.m. at the parking lot. A lucky-number prize drawing will accompany light snacks after the walk at 10:30 a.m. Blood pressure and diabetes checks also will be available.

Applications are available at Melrose Place in the Atrium Building, or by emailing Teri at teriloo76@gmail.com. Completed registration forms should be mailed to the civic club at P.O. Box 664, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Nonrefundable entry fee is $5 for club members and $10 for non-members. Bring the signed waiver form, entry fee and any pledges gathered to check-in on race day.
