Foot Massage Clinic In Haleiwa Town Pampers Tired Tootsies
Jeff Zuccala has 12 special chairs and seven therapists with soothing hands – and they’re all ready for you in Old Haleiwa town, next to the post office.
North Shore Foot Massage opened a few weeks ago at 66-437 Kamehameha Hwy. #101-A, and Zuccala already has spotted a pattern in the customer flow.
“Mondays are busy because that’s when the restaurant crews are off,” he said, noting that they make good use of their day off by pampering their weary feet. But his business isn’t just about feet, said the Sunset Beach resident – a transplant from Southern California. (He speaks the language, too. “We’ve had tons of locals and they’re super stoked.”)
“It’s unlike other foot massage salons in Hawaii,” he added. “It has a brand-new style with an Asian influence. You get a foot soak, head rub, foot rub, back rub. Try it, it’s amazing and very cost-effective.” The lounge-like chairs fold out flat in the calm, open environment of the massage room, he noted, “and you don’t take your clothes off.” Music and dimmed lights complete the effect. “Most people fall asleep.”
A former marketing man, Zuccala said he and his wife want to get fully established before the winter rush. “We gotta get ready for the surfers; they’ll be into it.”
North Shore Foot Massage is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Prices range from $25 for a basic half-hour massage to $45 for a body massage, or buy extra pampering with a $70, 90-minute treatment, along with other options.
