Focus on Windward Oahu

Decked out in a Castle High School cap and sweatshirt, Norman Ching returned to his alma mater in February and touched bases with school newspaper adviser Christine Wilson. A recent widower who lives in Oakhurst, Calif., Ching was in the Knights' first graduating class in 1952, and he recalled carrying chairs from Ben Parker High down the road to the brand new campus. He came with his grandson Jacob and brother Wallace (a Saint Louis graduate). Ching is holding a list of his old classmates. Photo from Beverly Vierra.
