More than 60 volunteers recently helped clear pickleweed and other introduced species from Kauhale Wetland Preserve, as part of Hoakalei Cultural Foundation's annual wetland stewardship project. Volunteer groups included Ewa Puuloa Outrigger Canoe Club, Puuloa Hawaiian Civic Club, Ewa Beach Lions Club, Hale Pono Boys & Girls Clubhouse, Ka Makana at Hoakalei residents, and Haseko employees, including Haseko president Tom Sagawa (in green).
