City Councilman Ikaika Anderson (center) honored Waimanalo fishermen Nainoa Nu‘uhiwa (left) and Shane Hanawahine for their tireless efforts to transform Kaupo Beach (by Makai Pier) from a trashed area with invasive plants to a clean shoreline landscaped with native plants and trees, making it a haven for divers, fishermen, sportsmen and families.
