State Sen. Mike Gabbard and U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard honored the Kinimaka Ohana at their 2013 family reunion, which brought together more than 400 relatives from across Hawaii and the Mainland July 6 at Iolani Palace. The family goes back 17 generations in Hawaii and is descended from Hawaiian royalty. Nani Kinimaka-Davis, a key reunion organizer, lives in Makakilo.
