Film Series Continues At Surfer

Locally produced films are on view in the weekly Filmmakers Showcase at Turtle Bay Resort in its Surfer, The Bar venue.

Set for screening at 7 p.m. Sunday is Mana i Ka Leo: Power of the Voice with Ruben Carillo and Dawn Kaniaupio. Also ahead are Puamana Feb. 19 with Meleanna Meyer and Get a Job Feb. 26 with Brian Kohne.

“New management at Turtle Bay has committed to making the facility more community-friendly,” said showcase coordinator Don Brown, “and Surfer, The Bar is a great space to make that happen!”

Each film night will include a question-andanswer session with the film’s producer and/or director.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is $10 general, $8 kamaaina and $5 for those under age 16. For more information, call 436-4326.
