Feng Shui Series Begins Feb. 1
The Community School for Adults will offer a five-week series of classes in Feng Shui Basics at Kapolei Library beginning Feb. 1.
Clear Englebert, a recognized expert in the ancient art and science, will lead the classes from 10 a.m. to noon each Saturday through March 1 at the library. Fee is $100, and students must preregister by calling 692-8210 or 528-9577.
Topics and dates are listed below. Feb. 1 — “Chi Flow: In and Around Your Home,” emphasizing the importance of windows and doors, and how to eliminate clutter;
Feb. 8 — “Poison Arrows: Inside and Out,” how common interior features can affect a home’s energy;
Feb. 15 — “Empowered Positions: Inside an Out,” furniture placement, mauka and makai orientations;
Feb. 22 — “The Feng Shui Bagua, Introduction,” the interaction of the Five Elements in and around the home; and
March 1 — “The Feng Shui Bagua, Application,” applying the bagua map to all parts of the house, and focusing on the two power corners, Wealth and Relationship.
Englebert, meanwhile, also is giving free public lectures on Feng Shui Bagua at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kapolei Library and 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pearl City Library. He is the author of five books on the subject, including Feng Shui for Hawaii and his latest effort, Feng Shui for Retail Stores.
