This year the Windward Holiday Craft & Gift Fair has a little taste of something extra in store — a Taste of Castle, to be exact.

As part of the fair, which will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Castle High School, “Taste” features community recipes, with samples of everything from hot entrees to desserts, for $1 each. The 2012 Project Grad cookbooks will sell for $5 (for two books), and McDonald’s coupon books also can be purchased for $5.

Inside and outside the cafeteria, vendors will offer handcrafted gift items, alongside food, safe archery activities, a lion dance, art by Castle students and more. Door prizes, donated by artisans and vendors, will be awarded throughout the day.

Proceeds from the fair will benefit the school’s 2015 Project Graduation. For more information, call chairwoman Teri Lynn Sato at 554-9620. To donate dishes for Taste of Castle, email Pam Kino at chsprojectgraders@gmail.com.
