Ewa Library Has ‘Banned’ Films
Ewa Beach Public & School Library observes Banned Book Week (Sept. 21-27) with two film screenings next Monday. The annual nationwide program celebrates the freedom to read and highlights the value of free and open access to information.
The two films showing Sept. 22 at the Ewa Beach branch are based on or inspired by books that were once banned publically.

* 6 p.m. — James and the Giant Peach: An adaption of Roald Dahl’s story, an orphaned British boy meets a stranger with a magic bag of tricks and ends up inside a peach that rolls into the Atlantic Ocean. Rated PG for ages 5 and up.
